PREMIER EVENT: FOOD NETWORK STAR CHUCK HUGHES TO FIRE UP COOKANDDATE NIGHT!
Celebrity chef Chuck Hughes to teach singles how to cook through one of Canada's most creative culinary events: CookandDate!
MONTREAL (August 5, 2010) -- CookandDate is launching a string of singles events this summer to be hosted by renowned chefs, its first featuring Chuck's Day Off star and celebrity chef Chuck Hughes. Soon kicking off the second season of his program, the Food Network host will be heating things up in the kitchen with a privileged number of single foodies this September.
"We are excited. Chuck is charismatic, entertaining and a rising star in the cooking world, and we are proud to have him as a guest chef for the first event of its kind!" said CookandDate founder Cristina Mucciardi. As showcased on his show, Hughes will instruct guests to cook meals from his famous repertoire of home recipes. The night will retain the usual CookandDate format whereby guests enjoy cocktails, mingle and team up to cook several courses.
CookandDate, a new and creative way to meet singles in Montreal, is soon launching events in Toronto as well as an expansion across Canada and the United States. It is a premier event for CookandDate, who has hosted culinary events for singles since 2007.
The event will be held September 15th at the Viking Center in T.M.R., where Mucciardi hosts weekly events. For more information or to register for the event, Montreal's most eligible bachelors or bachelorettes may visit www.cookanddate.com.

Currently filming its third season, Hughes's show, Chuck's Day Off, has been picked up by the Food Network USA for its Cooking Channel. The multi-talented cook is also the owner and executive chef of Montreal's hippest restaurant, Garde Manger. Hughes was recently selected as one of the top 24 Quebecers in a list comprising of actors, politicians, athletes and other renowned names who have recently contributed to the province's cultural landscape.

While most matches happen during our events, we will for the first time in our history be pre-matching selected guests based upon several factors (compatibility, background, common interests and more)! All interested participants must go through a short interview process. You must send an e-mail to request to attend the event or sign-up through our website. The event will be televised, please let us know if you have an issue with being on camera or interviewed.
